When to go?
Just Married? That's typically when people (ok, couples) head to St. Lucia, a honeymooner's paradise. In May, be-bop enthusiasts visit for the annual St. Lucia Jazz Festival. Spend in the name of love during the high season of December through April. Skip the crowds but risk a storm from June through November.

Where to stay?
With young lovers and the young-at-heart in mind, the resorts of St. Lucia offer many romance-inspired packages. The all-inclusives here (Sandals alone has three locations) are found in Castries, Soufriere and Vieux Fort. For a true island getaway, pick one of St. Lucia's inns or low-capacity villas.

With a dormant volcano and rainforest in the middle of this island, plenty of nature-based activities await your arrival. Get geared up to hike or mountain-bike and bird or dolphin-watch. For those interested in a different kind of green, there's an 18-hole championship golf course at Cap's Estate. Most importantly, simply sun-worship - St. Lucia is blessed with many not-so-crowded, beautiful beaches.
