Savannah Georgia Vacation Travel |

When to go? Savannah is at its charming best in the Spring with splashes of blossoming wisteria and magnolia around every corner. Summertime heat and humidity can be exhausting, so take the time to relax and cool down in one of historic district's 22 public squares. If crowds aren't your thing, avoid St Patrick's Day when 300,000 revelers pack the streets for the annual parade and celebration.

|
Where to stay? The historic inns scattered throughout Savannah's historic district are certainly the best way to experience the charm of Old Savannah. Most of these inns have been lovingly restored and provide all the modern conveniences. Within walking distance, you'll find thousands of historic buildings, the City Market and the riverfront areas.

What to do? Old Savannah is a delight and can experienced in a variety of ways. For the literary minded, try one of the Midnight in the Garden of Evil book tours. Horse drawn carriage tours provide a great perspective too. For shopping, River Street and The City Market can't be beat.
