Chicago Illinois Vacation Travel |

|
When to go? Chicago's cultural and entertainment life is vibrant year-round. Spring and fall are the most comfortable seasons to be outdoors and tour the city. Summer opens up additional recreational activities; however, the heat and humidity can be stifling. January and February are good months to discover the city's many museums. Brutal winds and snow off Lake Michigan can make winter almost unbearable for any outdoor activities.

Where to stay? Hotels in Chicago's downtown business district, The Loop, are a great choice for business travelers; however the area is deserted on weekends. The Magnificent Mile on Michigan Avenue is the place for premium hotels with great access to world-class shopping and dining. For a neighborhood feel, Lincoln Park is another good option.

What to do? Chicago is a great town for museums, shopping and theater. A CityPass booklet, which can be purchased on-line, gives you access to 5 of Chicago's most popular museums and attractions over a 9-day period, saving you time and money. Visit one of the city's famed improvisational comedy clubs for the lighter side of Chicago theater.
