Cesky Krumlov is a large town located in Southern Bohemia in the Czech Republic. The historical center, added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1992, is notable for its well-preserved Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque architecture. The Cesky Krumlov Castle, built in the 13th century, is the second largest castle complex in Czech Republic after Prague castle. The Vltava River snakes through the town, making the inner historical center an island unto itself.
