Belize Vacation Travel |

When to go? Belize shines the brightest during the dry season, January through May, with the most consistent good weather March through May. The rainy season typically runs June through November, with hurricane season from late summer through November. Of course, the best hotels and lodges book early for the high season, so plan accordingly.

Where to stay? If you're looking for a full blown mega resort with all the amenities, Belize doesn't have any. Hotels and resorts tend to be small to midsize, in the moderate price range. Ambergris Caye (pronounced "key"), Caye Caulker and Placencia are the best known spots for exploring the magnificent coral reefs along the Caribbean coast. Dozens of exceptional eco lodges are situated throughout Belize for exploring natural and cultural wonders.

What to do? Be adventurous! Belize's Caribbean coast, featuring 200 miles of coral reef, is world renowned for snorkeling and diving (the beaches themselves get mixed reviews due to potential wind and sand fleas). Eco Lodges scattered across the inland areas offer fabulous access to Belize's stunning plant and animal diversity, rivers, caving, and Mayan cultural sites. Regional plane travel makes it easy to do it all in one vacation.
